Kylee's Birthday Party

Kylee had a great birthday party. She wanted to have a Hannah Montana Pizza Party. We first played Hannah Montana Bingo while we waited for everyone to get there.Next we played pass the microphone like hot potato and then they dressed up like "Rock Stars" and danced to Hannah Montana music.

Next we opened presents and then went downstairs to watch the movie and eat pizza.

During the movie they ate pizza and breadsticks and then we did Cake and ice cream. Their favorite part of the whole night was when they kept rewinding the movie and doing the line dance over and over again! My flash drowns out the movie so you can't see it that great.

Kylee's BFF Raquel
A very intense part of the movie!

Braxton just liked the balloons!
Whew, that's a lot of work!

Warning: Use Extreme Caution!

Kylee has been begging for a pair of Heely's since at least Kindergarten. I was able to successfully avoid purchasing them for a couple years, convinced they were too dangerous and lots of kids get hurt. I finally gave in and got her a pair for her seventh birthday. She was absolutely ecstatic! Little did I know just how dangerous they were!
Kids are not allowed to have the wheels in when they are at school. So one morning while we were getting ready for school, I was removing the wheels. I thought this was a pretty harmless activity so did not use the amount of caution required. I successfully removed the first wheel without any problems. While removing the wheel in the second shoe, the wheel came out and literally flew across the room at least 10 feet to where Braxton was laying on the ground! Nothing like this had ever happened so I was completely stunned! Then I heard the crying and my heart dropped.

The poor guy got hit right above the eye! Of all the crazy things! Here I thought the danger was to the one wearing them, not the innocent bystander!

He is such a happy baby, even when his mom beats him up!

Spiderman's B-day Party

Well it has only taken me 3 months to post again, but I think that is pretty reasonable considering my hectic summer. I feel like we haven't even been home, so I was glad when school started so that we were required to stay home! So, even though I haven't posted it, we really did have a fun and eventful summer!

For Conner's birthday he wanted to have a Spiderman party. So after much thought, I think we had a pretty good time! We started by coloring a Spiderman picture.

After that the kids wore their Sp
iderm
an masks and tried to shoot silly string at a picture of Spiderman. Even Tianna joined in the fun!

Next we made a craft project that a 5 year old could do! We made spider webs out of black or pink yarn and glued them onto paper. Then they cut out a picture of Spiderman and glued that wherever they wanted.

Next they threw water balloons at a large sheet that I had made a web on out of electrical tape.

After that they played Spiderman, Spiderman, Goblin for a few rounds and than we had cake and ice cream.

We then opened presents and then played on a large inflatable jump toy that I borrowed from a friend. They had a lot more fun when they took turns then when it was a free for all! Boys play a little rougher than girls! So we set up an obstacle course they each completed. We passed out the goody bags and sent everyone home! All in all, I think it was a success! now I have atleast 2 more months until the next Birthday party! Once I get a chance I will post Kylee's B-day party, it was a lot of fun also!

It's Official

It's official, t-ball and ponytail ball has begun! I don't know what I was thinking when I signed 2 kids up! Now we have 2 games every Tues. and one game Wed. and one game on Thurs.! That is a lot for me! I try to have as little going on as I can get away with. The kids really love it though- especially Conner! I think he is sick of always watching Kylee as she does her activities and it is finally his turn to get the treat! That's really what it boils down to- the treat afterwards!
It was so cute- everytime Conner was concentrating hard he would stick out his tongue!

First Official Photo Shoot

This was my first official photo shoot with my new fancy camera! It was a lot of fun, but I can tell I need a lot more practice. It was nice of my friend Heather to come along to give pointers and moral support!

I feel sort of bad though, Kylee was at school so she was neglected for this shoot. I told her that as soon as school is out we could go do one with her- life is just too crazy right now to try to fit one in on a school day!
